Something is in the Air!

LifeChurch.tv Northwest Oklahoma City Campus: “N-dub”

“Something is in the Air,” you can feel it and I’m not talking about the new MacBook Air; I’m talking about our campus, “God’s about to do some big things!”  Last week was absolutely amazing at our campus (We have been open 9 months) let’s check out what God is doing.  Last weekend updates:

  • We almost had record attendance, with 2,228 people. (Awesome)

  • Over 100 people signed up to serve in our ministry areas (Off the hook)

  • We have over 75 people getting baptized this weekend (Incredible)

  • There were tons of new families and the energy has high (Sweet)

  • We had 27 people raise their hands and give their lives to Christ (Priceless)

What I’m Diggin’ right now:

  • Spending some time w/ Craig, it’s always great development (It’s awesome)

  • Being stretched, living in the moment & finding God moments in everything

  • Leading, Appreciating and Following

  • The new season of American Idol (I’m a junkie) You have to check out the next William Hung w/ the new smash hit: “I am your brother……”  LOL

Comment of the Week: on Post (Need a Quickie):  “Wonderfully and succinctly said. A good leader wants his/her followers to be greater than they are.  It was Jesus Himself who told His disciples they would have greater power than He and would do greater things.  Now that’s true leadership.” by Hope, check out her blog: “Unveiling Hope”

Link Me and I’ll Link You Back:  If you have linked or added BigIsTheNewSmall to your blogroll let me know and I’ll link you back.

Questions:  Do you watch American Idol, if so what was your favorite part of the first two episodes?  If you don’t watch American Idol, what’s your favorite TV program?  Share, talk, chat & discuss!

I’m having serious ‘Office’ withdrawls. That is my only stop-down TV show.

  • Scott Williams

Anne- That was a blog within itself…. you let the cat out of the bag! There will be an upcoming stand alone post featuring “The Jackson 2″ and I’m not talking about Janet and Michael.

Jonathan- I don’t watch “The Office” however there are a few people in “The Office” who watch “The Office.”

You should check out Jonathan’s blog http://www.littlepastor.blogspot.com; last week he featured some blogs; mine being one of them and he said BigIsTheNewSmall is “A rambling stream of consciousness” I like that!

The Beall’s are HUGE AI fans. Love it. We actually got a kick out of the cowboy from Mississippi last night.

i loved the girl with princess lea buns who said the show doesn’t like diversity. (my response would be a picture of ruben studdard and clay aiken standing side by side… :)

    p.s. i’m the first on your blogroll! awesome… i love alphabetical order… :)

    I really enjoy your blog.

As for AI, I’m becoming a bit disillusioned with it all. I’m starting to wonder if it’s more “set-up” than organic. Yet… I will continue watching.

I love American Idol, but i love it more once they to Hollywood and start weeding some people out. It’s funny the first few weeks watching people who can’t sing, but then it’s fun to get onto the people who are really talented and see how they handle the pressure. So far i thought the guy at the end of the last episode (i think) that wore the big costume and sang, “I AM YOUR BROTHER!” to Simon. Hilarious!

I will NOT let you get me sucked into AI! My TIVO is full enough, thank you.
Hey, Scott, southside campus outnumbered every other campus at the Refuge OKC work day yesterday. Tag, yer campus is “it” next time. Cmon, represent. (grin)OK, I’m not totally sure about that, but man those southsiders were everywhere I turned yesterday…
