Billary and Obama take the Gloves Off

Friday Drive-by (15) Random Bullets

Politics:

Hillary and Bill have been taking some serious pot-shots and they appear to be taking the gloves off.  BTW- The term “taking the gloves off” is goofy.  The race card is coming out and some divisiveness is beginning to occur between the proclaimed First Black President and the potential First Black President.  This thing is getting interesting and will get ugly…. Tough Questions:

  1. Obama said tongue and cheek that Oprah would be his Vice-President…. What are your thoughts on Oprah as the V.P., discuss?
  2. Can Mitt Romney as a Mormon be the President of the United States?
  3. As a former President, is Bill Clinton over stepping his boundaries in Hillary’s Campaign?

Have a great weekend & thanks for reading!  BigIsTheNewSmall

    …all the time!

Oprah as VP – that’s just stupid.

With regard to Romney, it makes no difference to me what “religion” he is. I only care that he is (or isn’t) qualified for the position.

Bill campaigning might work during the primaries, but could backfire later by driving more Republicans to the polls to vote against Billary. Actually I think it would be funny to see if Bill could handle being second-fiddle in the White House. That would make a great reality show.

#1, Oprah would only take it, if she could bring Gail. lol
#2 Mitt would tell you that he is a Christian, this bothers me more. Also, His views on Gitmo are out there..
#3 Bill is stumping for his wife, um, HE OWES HER ONE……………:)

  • http://www.jabberfrog.com gina

oprah as vp. that’s a kicker. but then, she can certainly spin a topic and gain a significant following. may not be as funny as we think.

besides, wasn’t there a guy that used to be an actor? then he ran for office? initials are R.R…. what was that guys name? :)

  • Scott Williams

Scott- Good thoughts…. his religion will make a difference to a lot of Americans if he gets past the primaries. i would like to agree with you about Bill; however Americans are a forgiving people…. well maybe not republicans forgiving of the Clintons… your probabaly right. See how quick we change our minds. ;-)
    Charles-

Bill is stumping for his wife, um, HE OWES HER ONE……………:)

That’s the quote of the the week! LOL
Gina- R.R. is the go to for popularity these days; it’s funny how time changes everything. “W” will be the goto many years from now…

    1. Obama said tongue and cheek that Oprah would be his Vice-President…. What are your thoughts on Oprah as the V.P., discuss?
Oprah would NEVER be VP. Obama is not stupid. He would get some white dude from the south as a running mate.

    2. Can Mitt Romney as a Mormon be the President of the United States?
Romney is actually a good candidate. Romney vs. Obama would be a great election battle. Good guys, not tainted by DC too much. I really dont think that his Mormonism will be a factor, hes a good politician (isnt that an oxymoron?).

    3. As a former President, is Bill Clinton over stepping his boundaries in Hillary’s Campaign?
Yes. Yes. Yes. I always thought Bill was the ultimate smooth guy. He has NOT been smooth at all. Its almost like he wants to sabotage Hilarys run. He needs to shut-up and let the lady run!

Personally, I’d like to be your VP, Scott. What would they do with a Black man and a Polish nut in the White House. That kinda sounds like the start of a bad joke. lol.

Hey Scott, I am adding you to my blog roll right now. Hope all is well.

    Scott,
Let me say first that I love the new name Billary (I don’t know if you coined it or if its been floating around, but this is the first I’m hearing it). I think race has always been an issue in politics, that’s why people stratify the country into different voting segments. If it isn’t religion then it’s gender or race. Unfortunately the die was cast when Hillary (I mean Billary) stepped into the fray with Obama. Now, loyalties are divided and it seems apparent that if they don’t find some common ground, they may do great disservice to each others campaigns. Phew! That was my political input for the week. :)

    1. No way Oprah could or should be VP. She has zip experiance. She’s nice and i like her show, but to run a country? no way.
    2. I think Mitt could be president, but i don’t think he’ll make a good one Mormon or not. I lived in MA while he was in office there and he’s not very great…and being Mormon, as a Christian i kind of held him to higher standards and he just wasn’t up there.
    3. I love Bill Clinton. I like him as a person and i thought he was a great president. I do think that him quasi teaming up with Hillary is a little much and unfair to the other candidates. It’s kind of like he had his time in the spotlight and now he needs to let someone else have the chance. :-)

If Oprah is the V.P. does that mean every American gets a new car? Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!

The really tough question is which would you rather role-play?
    1.Obama speaking tongue in cheek
    2.Oprah as his Vice-President
3.Mitt Romney as a Mormon President
4.Former President Bill Clinton over stepping his boundaries…oh wait, would that count as role-play?
Scott, for some odd reason your site makes me do this stuff. It’s all your fault. Thanks, I really needed it tonight. (grin)
hmm..some white dude from the south as his running mate…nah..too easy. (grin)

    1. i hope she’s not vp. i think celebrities need to stay where they are talented- entertainment. endorse/rally all you want, but it stops there for me.

    2. i don’t personally like the idea, but if we could elect a black and/or woman president, why not? mormonism aside, i don’t agree with his opinions.

    3. we’re stepping into a whole new dynamic that’s even more different than the race issue. number one, he would be, what, the first man? :) number two, he’s a former president. i don’t think we really have a template for this role to follow. personally, i think he could afford to step back, and let hillary do her thing. again, gender aside, i don’t agree with her opinions… and she gets on my nerves a little.

    there’s my two cents. :)

    Good post.

    1) Oprah as VP is obviously a big laugh.
    2) Mitt Romney’s Mormonism will matter greatly if he gets the nomination. Right now, I believe it’s overshadowed by Mike Huckabee’s strong Christianity. The media’s always fussing on someone’s religious beliefs.
    3) It’s funny watching Bill play the “wifey” roll. Standing behind her during speeches, clapping softly, smiling for the cameras. It’s all pretty haunting. Honestly, I’m not sure if it helps or hurts her. I think America’s mind is pretty much made up when it comes to their opinion of her. It’s a hate her or love her type of deal. Bill just adds to the whole humor of it.
