I Have The Flu!

tamiflu.jpgI tried my best to avoid this crud that’s going around.  As a Pastor, I shake a lot of hands (a whole lot) and kiss a lot of babies, if you know what I mean.  I tried hand sanitizer and compulsive hand-washing, but evidently it wasn’t enough.  I went to the Doctor yesterday and he informed me that “I Have The Flu.”  He said that I detected it at an early stage and should be good in about a week.  I was prescribed Tamiflu, Some Prescription Cough Syrup w/ Codeine, Plenty of Water and Rest.

I have a wedding to perform on Saturday, “That’s something that you can’t re-schedule” so please pray for a speedy recovery.

    Hey Scott, sorry to hear you have the flu. Load up on the Vitamin C, drink plenty of fluids, and most importantly…get some rest. Oh, and a hot toddie doesn’t hurt either at bedtime. Praying for you today, bud.

    Just got over it. Hard to avoid in my job as well. I turned on CNN and listened to all the political rhetoric. Put me right to sleep.

    Like you, Scott, I tried denial for a while….it finally caught me. I’ve had a cough for more than a week now. Still not feeling great. I think you’ll make it for the wedding, but you’ll be ready to head home to bed afterwards….this stuff just ZAPS you!

    Roger- Thanks bro. Lakendria and and the boys don’t have it however their Dr. prescribed a preventative dose of Tamiflu.
    Kyle- thanks bro. drinking OJ as we speak.
    Scott- I am watching some news right now. I am noticing a lot of commercials for the local vote for ford center improvements and prep for the NBA. I hope the vote passes.

    Cindy- I met w/ Chris yesterday morn. and I was about to die. They tested me for strep, it was neg. I wont know what to do this weekend, I never take weekends off. I will give him a call. ;-)

    Rachelle- I have a big bowl of soup in my lap. It was probably best that we didn’t have lifegroup tues. I pray you guys get to feeling better.

    Scott, another helpful idea I just had was for you to try using an OTC product called Oscillococcinum. It will be in the cold/flu section of your local pharmacy of choice. Good stuff. Just throw the book at it, bro!

    Dude I have the flu right now…

    I have considered praying for death… because I don’t think I have ever been this sick…

    I have four kids who have all had it, and I thought it passed me by, but nope three days ago it hit me, and I still feel like dookie…

    Pray we don’t get round 2… because a lot of big families like mine have had it twice…
