We Are Going to the ATL!

atl.jpgOkay my wife and I are leaving this Saturday and going to Atlanta for about a week get-a-way.  We are going w/ another couple, who are good friends of both of ours and the wife is actually on staff at the LifeChurch.tv Tulsa Campus.  We will be staying in downtown Atlanta.  I might go check out this guy at Buckhead while I am in town. 

I would like to get your input on some must do’s for entertainment, sight-seeing and dining in Atlanta.  Please share!

    Awe, one of my favorite cities. Go to the Coca Cola Museum. Eat at the Varsity. Shop at the Mall of Georgia. Six Flags is cool. Stone Mountain is fun.

    Here are some tips from a Georgia girl -
    Favorite restaurants for red meat – Bones & Chops (You may also like McKendricks)
    Entertainment/Shopping/Dining – Go to Atlantic Station located in the heart of ATL. (Completely awesome!!!) Check it out here http://www.atlanticstation.com/home.php
    Take your wife to Northpoint Mall in Alpharetta (near Northpoint Church) so she can shop at H&M. It just recently opened. Great clothes – low prices. They are supposed to open an H&M at Atlantic Station, but not sure it is in full swing just yet.
    Skip the Varsity – unless you bring your Rolaids.
    High Museum of Art is fancy pancy – and they usually have some pretty cool featured art.
    Go to an Atlanta Braves game. Just the stadium experience itself is awesome.
    And, always say, “Go Dawgs!”

    Good news. H&M just had their grand opening at Atlantic Station. This will save you a trip to Alpharetta. DON’T MISS ATLANTIC STATION!
