Free Is The New Friday:

Today is going to be a different take on the Free Is The New Friday; in other words we won’t be doing it every Friday, but rather on a random basis.  The winner for this week is Bert Boan; who will be getting hooked up with a Starbucks giftcard from Dusty.  Kyle, Dusty and Steve still have some advertising coming; Steve is going to donate his advertising to either Derrick or Jason.

My Life, My Family: (Run-on Sentence)

Wesley is playing tackle football and wants to also play flag, Jayden is playing flag, my wife and I fly out next Friday for our cruise (yes), the n-dub team is really special, today is my day off, I have some good books I’m reading, I have a book I need to write, we took dinner to a couple in our lifegroup last night that just had a baby, I’m ready for college football, this season of life is busy but really good…  God Is Good!

    My heart is pulling for my Bama boys but I think we are still a year or 2 away. Those of us from Bama have a lot of respect for OU so I’m good with you guys winning this year.

    Anything you want to share, debate, sound-off about… what’s up in your world?

    The new church I’m working at can’t pay me full time yet so I start work at “gasp” Caribou Coffee on Monday! I feel like I’m cheating on Starbucks.

    - VP candidates: Obama – Chet Edwards, McCain – Charlie Crist; although Rick Warren gets my vote! Ha!

    - College Football… well, my Buckeyes are returning 19 starters and look really strong. Their BCS track record, hurts, but hey, they GOT THERE! I hope they finish on top. Sept 13 vs. USC will be a real clear glimpse into their potential.

    - for fun or debate or whatever: would it be wrong IF there were the “White Weblog Awards”??

    As far as politics go….I’m so tired of hearing about the race for the White House. I just want everything to hurry up and be done so that our country can try to unite and get behind a President. Every time the election year comes around we become a nation divided. “hurry up and get it over with” is what I’m screaming.
    WHOOOOO Pig Sooie!!! Is what I’ll be screaming this fall. Arkansas is in a monster conference and will be in a major rebuilding year with a new coach. I’m not looking to see a lot of wins but UA will be a lot of fun to watch. That is if you’re into the underdog
