One Bible… On Verse

one-song.jpgI would like for everyone (Including RSS Readers) to share One Bible Verse.  It can be any verse, your favorite verse, a new verse that’s speaking to you, a verse that you heard this past weekend, a verse that you read this morning… or just simply One Bible… One Verse that you would like to share.

I will go first!

  • Scott Williams

    The Spirit of the Lord will come upon you in power, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person. 1 Samuel 10:6

    Changed,

  • 1 John 4:12

    No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is made complete in us.

    1 John 2:3-4

    3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

  • Proverbios 21:5
    Los pensamientos del diligente ciertamente tienden a la abundancia;
    Mas todo el que se apresura alocadamente, de cierto va a la pobreza.

  • But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33

  • My favorite right now

    Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
    James 1:2-4

    All time favorite

    I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
    John 8:12

  • i was reading on youversion.com this morning and I read the old school verse of John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…” as a parent the weight of this verse hit me again!

    Isaiah 26:8 – Yes Lord, walking in the way of your truth we wait eagerly for you, for your name, and your renown are the desire of our souls.

  • It is the gift of God whenever anyone eats, drinks and enjoys all his efforts (Ecclesiastes 3:13).

  • 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Cor 12:9 is resonating with me this week….

    ‘in my life I must think and act like Christ’ Phil. 2:5 is my favorite verse at this time…

  • Matthew 11:28 — Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. — through 30 is really good!

  • Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

    Jesus replied, “no one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the Kingdom of God” — Luke 9:62

  • John 1:35-37 “The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!” When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus.”

  • “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14

  • It’s a whole chapter, but it’s my very favorite.

    Psalm 62
    (from the Message)
    God, the one and only— I’ll wait as long as he says.
    Everything I need comes from him,
    so why not?
    He’s solid rock under my feet,
    breathing room for my soul,
    An impregnable castle:
    I’m set for life.

    How long will you gang up on me?
    How long will you run with the bullies?
    There’s nothing to you, any of you—
    rotten floorboards, worm-eaten rafters,
    Anthills plotting to bring down mountains,
    far gone in make-believe.
    You talk a good line,
    but every “blessing” breathes a curse.

    God, the one and only—
    I’ll wait as long as he says.
    Everything I hope for comes from him,
    so why not?
    He’s solid rock under my feet,
    breathing room for my soul,
    An impregnable castle:
    I’m set for life.

    My help and glory are in God
    —granite-strength and safe-harbor-God—
    So trust him absolutely, people;
    lay your lives on the line for him.
    God is a safe place to be.

    Man as such is smoke,
    woman as such, a mirage.
    Put them together, they’re nothing;
    two times nothing is nothing.

    And a windfall, if it comes—
    don’t make too much of it.

    God said this once and for all;
    how many times
    Have I heard it repeated?
    “Strength comes
    Straight from God.”

    Love to you, Lord God!
    You pay a fair wage for a good day’s work!

  • My fave..John 5 – the whole chapter. I know you said one verse – but once u start – um, you just can’t stop!

  • Philippians 4:13 NKJV

    I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
