    Sometimes it’s very easy to throw up your hands and quit; the hard part is standing up and staying the course, as the apostle Paul would say. That’s a great commercial, Scott.

    I probably shouldn’t say this because I’m an Obama man. But I’m perplexed by all the alien blog posts I’m starting to see where y’all are justifying not voting because it’s hard to choose a candidate that clearly represents your values. It’s uncomfortable. That reason alone should make you reconsider.
    If you don’t vote, and you aren’t an Obama fan, I should shutup and let you quit. But I don’t watch you aliens to see you FAIL. I watch you to see you act despite your EPIC FAILure at being perfect. That to me, is the difference between being perfect and being in the engine of perfection.
    So don’t quit. Do the difficult, confusing, uncomfortable thing and vote. Encourage each other to vote. And no “none of the above” votes either. Choose to be accountable for your choice, even if you feel that you might make the wrong choice. Hot or Cold. Choose. It’s what you are suppose to be, isn’t it? imho, as always.(grin)

    That commercial is showing Marine Recon training…

    That was my job in the Marine Corps…

    I got chosen for that job because I passed out cold from complete physical exhaustion during the indoctrination test for special forces… I thought I had failed, and they said that the only way to fail is to quit…

    365 people wanted to be in special forces that day, only seven made it… the rest quit…

    Your mind constantly struggles during boot camp and during the special forces test to take the comfortable road… instead of the road less traveled, the road of the few…

    I see a lot of pastors and leaders quitting today in Christianity… for the comfortable, tolerable road…

    Its a shame they talk about men like Paul, and John, James and Peter, and build ministries on the reputations, but quit at the first sign of adversity…

    Did you know that of the twelve original disciples 11 were martyred for their unwielding stand for truth… and the one who wasn’t was banished into isolation for the rest of his life…?

    What are you standing for?

    They say that influence for personal gain is called manipulation…

    And that influence for the kingdom of God is motivation…

    Manipulation…
