    Easy: Man in the Mirror
It is a very motivating song. Not neccessarily a theolgically sound song; however, it still moves me. Have been listening to it for the last hour.

I don’t have one favorite song, but I loved Thriller.

For me it was buying the Thriller album and playing it over and over again. And when the 1/2 hour Thriller video aired my whole family was sitting around the tv to watch.

Ebony & Ivory comes to mind…
Paul: Now Micheal, we’re not going to fight about this
Michael: Paul, I thought I told you– I’m lover, not a fighter!

when i was a little girl i had the thriller album, the one with the big fold out of him in the white suit. i used to sit in my bedroom floor and stare at his picture and listen to that record over and over again. when people would ask me what i wanted to do when i grew up, i would tell them i wanted to marry michael jackson.

i am slightly embarrassed to admit that now!

when i was young my dad was in the navy and we moved a lot. i don’t have a lot of childhood memories of fun times with friends like most people do. but every song of his brings back a memory of a different town, a new house, or something.

    thanks for the memories michael.

    So many. Which Era?
“Remember The Time” is my fave video ever, though, and is what I’m thinking of at the moment.

When I was in 8th grade, my friend and I put together a dance for a talent show. We did Michael Jackson’s “Black or White”. We were horrible and didn’t make it past the first try out, but I remember the message that song had and how much Michael did try to be a good model through his music.
My favorite song of his though goes back to when I was 4 and would yell “Billy Jean, Billy Jean!” as soon as I got in the car. I love all of his music though, what a wonderful musician.

“Man In The Mirror”& “Remember The Time” were two of my all time hits by Michael (Man In The Mirror featured the Michael Jackson Mass Choir on BACKGROUND VOCALS)!!! LOL
Being that I was born in the late 60′s (69 to be exact) my intro to MJ began while he was making hits w/ his 4 bruhz. “I’ll Be There,” “Never Can Say Goodbye” and “I Want You Back” are absolute CLASSICS (IT DON’T GET NO BETTER THAN LITTLE MICHAEL)!!!

Loved Off The Wall album. MJ’s music was the soundtrack of the 80s and early 90s. I didn’t own any of his records, because you heard his music all the time.

So, went to the Thriller concert in miami early 80′s, I was like 10 or eleven. Remember my mom making me a shadow box w his pic, the glove, the tix, the works.. And yes I had the pants, the jacket and the glove! Loved beat it! All his music in the 80′s was awesome! He and Madonna were the music memories for me in the 80′s. Great times!

Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough – a huge fav for sure…

…burnin’ his hair on the Pepsi commercial, good times!

I have a lot of favorite going back to the Jackson five with his brothers. I quess my all time favorite was Billie Jean. I really like the music in it and starts out slow. I going to really miss him I felt like I’ve lost a friend!!

  • DarylG

Man too many songs, dude had 68 singles. The grooves are great so I’ll go with Smooth Criminal and Off the wall.

  • pmrgrl

Do you remember the time favorite song & video

  • Scott Williams

I used to rock one of the red jackets with all of the zippers and buttons…

I could go on and on about the songs:
Man In The Mirror, PYT, Remember the Time, Rock With You, Billie Jean, Thriller, The Way You Make Me Feel, Beat It…

MJ was so ahead of his time; he impacted culture and crossed racial lines like no other! Listening to his music today is a sweet reminder!

TOp 5 favs: 1 Earth Song…2 Give In To Me…3 Blod On The Dance Floor…4 Black and White…5 Billie Jean.

He didn’t get enough credit for his newer stuff. I really love it all, but the passion in Earth Song and Give in to me speak so loud.

Don’t know about a favorite song. He had so many great ones. Had a Jackson 5 album when I was a little kid. Worked out to Thriller in the 80s. My friend had a slumber party for the Thriller video debut. We spent all night trying to learn the dance. Love Black and White video too. Man, what a freakish musical genius.

Thought I had responded to this already but don’t see mine so I have to say “Rock With You”. He was so easy to listen to in some of his songs. I think he was probably misunderstood in so many ways. I’ll always remember the good things about him, and not the bad. I believe that all the hooplah of celebrity and growing up so fast with so much talent made him a target of the media and that inside of him was a sad little child. He was a major talent and I’m just sorry I can’t hear what might have come next.

Loved “Beat It” and “Bad.” And even back to the Jackson 5 days, “I’ll Be There.” The dude had great talent in so many ways.

Todd Fields is a worship leader at North Point Community Church. I hear tell that he can play any Eddie Van Halen guitar solo, on command. Now, that’s talent. Saw earlier on Todd’s Twitter, that he was about to play the Eddie V H guitar solo from “Beat It” at Bigstuf camp tonight. You know, that’s a cool tribute. MJ had issues and sin, but we all do. But family and friends are hurting tonight at the loss of someone they knew and loved. I’m glad as believers we’re joining in to honor, rather than condemn. Maybe this behavior will draw more of the Hollywood types to Jesus. We all need him so much.

Hey, have you seen this news article?

Just hat to ‘RT’ Jon O comment…
