What Interactive Elements Do You Want To Experience At #TheNines?

theninesTheNines is going to be an all-day deal, where you have your computer running at all times and have lunch at your desk.  The sites that will be simulcasting #TheNines Conference were released last week, see the full list here.  BigIsTheNewSmall.com is one of the 12 sites hosting the conference, so be sure and let your, friends, family, colleagues, co-workers know that they can check out the conference live right here.

I thought it would be good to break up the monaughtney of a long day of 70 speakers, by adding some interactive elements to #TheNines attenders joining the  BigIsTheNewSmall.com community.

We will be rolling some things out like live Twitter, Chat, and even looking at giving some stuff away throughout the day.  Maybe some signed copies of some books from some of your favorite authors, CD’s, giftcards… and any other merchandise that you want to donate. 🙂

There are nearly 8,500 people already registered for #TheNines, who knows by the time Wed. rolls around we may have 9,999.  Again, make sure that you have registered, encourage your friends and family to register and join us right here on Wednesday 9/9/09 at 9:09.

What interactive elements would you like to see happen during #TheNines Conferece?  If there are 9,999 registrants, I think they should cut off registration, what do you think?

See You Wednesday…

  • With so many speakers will come some great
common leadership gold and some will say things
likely we won’t all agree on. Maybe a #FB feature
that’s asks “like this?”or “Leave insight comment”?
Also be great with so many viewers to be able to ask
about where to learn more on certain topics/ speakers such as
books, blogs etc. Almost like a chat but with
a direct purpose for sharing “learn more about that here”, just
    a thought.
A great thing would also be to get sone thoughts
on what people “Digg or don’t digg” maybe based on
    style.content.communicator effectiveness. Etc
    I’m pumped!!

  • Your site is great–been exploring–you do good work. Keep it up! Look forward to meeting you one day in person at an event. Rooting for you!
    Margaret

  • Interactive elements? I’d like to see some live chat/discussion on the speaker’s topics – perhaps.

Or live cross-references w/ what speakers are saying and scriptures or articles that support or refute their points.

It would be fun to do some live polls. And giveaways are always fun.

Just wondering how you reconcile the use of the word “leader”
with what Jesus said in Mt 23:10.

The word “leader”seems like a “high place.” Yes?
Jesus always took and recommended the “low place.” Yes?

Jesus humbled Himself, made himself of no reputation
and took on the form of a servant.
    Php 2:7

Jesus in Mat 23:10 told His disciples “NOT”
    to call themselves master/“leaders”
for you have one master/”leader” the Christ.

    King James Version –
    Neither be ye called masters:
for one is your Master, even Christ.

    The Interlinear Bible –
    Nor be called leaders,
for one is your leader the Christ.

    Phillips Modern English –
you must not let people call you leaders,
you have only one leader, Christ.

    Today’s English Version –
nor should you be called leader.
your one and only leader is the Messiah.

    The Amplified-
you must not be called masters ( leaders )
for you have one master ( leader ) the Christ.

Jesus told His disciples “not” to be called
    “leaders” and none did.

Ro 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ…

    Php 1:1 Paul and Timotheus,
    the servants of Jesus Christ…

Col 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you,
    a servant of Christ…

    Tit 1:1 Paul, a servant of God…

    Jas 1:1 James, a servant of God…

    2Pe 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant…

His disciples “all” called themselves “servants,”
none called themselves “leaders.” None? None.
    None called themselves “servant-leader.” None.

If someone calls them self a “leader”
or thinks they are a “leader;”

Are they a “disciple of Christ?”

    Wondering some more.

Most on the list of people at this “leadership?” event
are not only considered “ leaders?”
but also have the “Title” “Pastor.” I checked them out a little.

Where in the Bible does it say “pastor = leader?”
Jesus warned us about the “traditions of men”
that nullify the word of God. Yes?

Have you done your own study, research, on pastors?
    I mean in the Bible?
What does the Bible say about pastors?

    Makes an interesting study.

Here’s some questions to ask as you check out pastors.

In the Bible, How many people… have the title pastor?
In the Bible, How many people are… referred to as pastor?
In the Bible, How many people are… ordained as a pastor?
In the Bible, How many congregations are… led by a pastor?

Be blessed in your search for truth… Jesus

And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold:
    them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice;
and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
    John 10:16

One Fold – One Shepherd – One Voice.
    If Not Now, When?

Be blessed and be a blessing.

  • See you in the AM Scott. Plan to have my notepad and pen ready.
