Find Your Identity!

identityThe world we live in is totally about who, what and where we find our identity.  There are pastors that find their identity on wanting to be like other pastors, teenagers finding their identity in Hollywood figures, young ladies finding their identity in their boyfriend, people finding their identity in money, professionals finding their identity in their job, parents finding their identity in their children and the list goes on and on.

Stop finding your identity in people, things and stuff; instead Find Your Identity in Christ.  When you find your identity in Christ you can begin to take off all of the masks of this world and truly reveal who you are.

Be careful, because once you begin to truly live out Finding Your Identity in Christ, you will begin to care less about what people think and more about who you’re becoming and what you stand for.

    WOOOOOHOOOOOO! Love this! i been teaching this to new believers over the last several years in rehabs, and bible studies…there is nothing more powerful in the Christ followers life(outside of HIM) than knowing who you are, shoots the enemy down every single time!!

    Still have days myself that I need to be reminded “Who are you in Christ?”
    Great post, will possibly link back if that is alright. Doing a study on Ephesians, and this totally ties in!

    For the first time I’m beginning to feel free in finding my identity in Christ. I woke up this morning took a big deep breath. I felt like I inhaled Christ and exhaled me. My motto is changing from “just do it” to “just be”.
