Do You Want To Write For A Big Blog?

blogOne of the most important things about a blog post is the title.  I imagine if you find yourself reading this post, the title caught your attention.  The title may seem a little deceptive; however I am giving you the opportunity to write for a Big Blog… That Big Blog is right here at BigIsTheNewSmall.com.

I am at the finishing stages of a total blog re-design and brand makeover. (It’s gonna be sweet in my opinion)  One of the new additions will be having featured posts written by guest bloggers and writers like you.  Guest blog posts will tentatively be posted on Fridays, During My Off-Days and Blogging Sabbaticals and any other times I deem necessary.  If you are interested in writing look at the below guidelines and follow the instructions, it’s that simple.  Thanks in advance!

Post Content:

You can submit content that falls within one of the following 5 content areas.

  1. Ministry “The Church”
  2. Leadership
  3. Social Media
  4. Church Diversity
  5. Productivity/Life Application

Post Guidelines

  • Original content that has never been published before on the Internet.
  • Agree to not publish the post anywhere else (i.e., in your own blog or as a guest post in other blogs).
  • You can include up to two links in the byline (i.e. Twitter, Website, Blog etc.) which will be displayed at the beginning of the blog post.
  • Post should be no less than 300 words and no more than 500 words.
  • Be mindful that “Titles Are Important!”
  • Attach the post as a word document.
  • Attach an image that supports the post.

Submitting your guest post:

If you have a post that meets the guidelines above, you can send it to me, by emailin to: guestblog@bigisthenewsmall.com Put Guest Blog in the subject line. Usually within 72 hours I will reply stating if I will be accepting the guest post or not.  All accepted posts will be reviewed and may receive basic editing and corrections prior to being posted.  I will personally promote your post via facebook and twitter several times during the day, as though the post was my own and encourage you to do the same.

If I decline to use your post, you’re obviously free to use it in your own blog or to propose it as a guest post for another blog or website.  If I decline to use your post, that does not mean the post wasn’t quality or relevant content, it simply means I decided not to use that particular post.  We are still friends and please submit another post at your pleasure. :-)

If you are interested feel free to let me know in the comment section.  Go ahead and share this post w/ your Twitter or Facebook network as well.  If you have not subscribed to BigIsTheNewSmall.com, please do so.

Thanks in advance for your interest and thanks for reading!

Very, very cool. I am in, I think it’s cool for you to open the platform God has given you to some people you trust and can mentor and filter to grow in the process.
    Leadership in action.
    Love it.

  9. jimmy paravane January 18, 2010 at 3:39 am #

Tempting. But I’m not feeling much like the Paravane these days. I’m obsessed with my own personal “reality TV” show on FaceBook. I thought about writing a post about it. Maybe calling it something attention grabbing like “Becoming Forgiveness”, or something more real like “being dragged kicking and screaming into forgiveness whether I like it or not”. I can sum it up in “short” comment(grin):
Family members I never thought I’d forgive, and vice-versa, are befriending me on FaceBook. And were talking to each other. And it’s freaking me out. But in a good way! Yep, that about sums it up.

    Hi Scott

I think I could produce something on either just one or four of your themes -

    # Leadership
    # Social Media
    # Church Diversity
    # Productivity/Life Application

I can write about Hodges’ model, its application in the above areas and can direct readers to a dynamic, eclectic blog :

    http://hodges-model.blogspot.com/

    - plus a website and it’s four unique care domain resources:

    http://www.p-jones.demon.co.uk/

    (e.g. interpersonal)
    http://www.p-jones.demon.co.uk/links.htm

All the best Scott and thanks for following on twitter!
