UNLOCK YOUR THINKING

Every once and a while this verse in the good book hits me, “When I was child, I spoke like a child and thought like a child and reasoned like a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.”(1 Corinthians 13:11).

Every time I learn something new the ONE thing I realize is this, I simply have a lot to learn. Simply put, I need to keep learning and growing.  ”The difference between a successful person and a person who does not find success, is the way they think.”  I sincerely believe that is a true statement.   Ask anyone who has had incredible success and you will find they dream BIG, think BIG and act in faith BIG.  They find a way to unlock their thinking.

William Shakespeare wrote “It is neither good nor bad, but thinking makes it so.”  Life is how you see it.   This very same thing is true for different types of people; the difference is one person will see it as a challenge, the other see’s an opportunity, “Unlock Your Thinking.”

I’ve been hurt in life, yes, painful things, tough, hard to understand things…  We can’t control what people do to us, but we can control how we think and act.  With God’s grace I choose to look at life in a positive way and that allows me to direct my actions in a way that won’t carry over any of my hurt to another person.   This type of thinking positively impacts my world on a daily basis.

Is the glass half empty for you or is it half full?

Great read!!! I had tried to come with a way to put this very same scripture to work for me when I was called to preach. I had gone through many passages in the Bible and this one stuck out the most. I never did use this text but, I did use it to apply it to my life as well as my Ministry. I love how God works! Thank you

    myzenmypiece,

Thanks for your kind words, checked out your blog, great stuff there too.
Positive thinking is one of those things that comes easy as a child but we lose it when we grow up. Gotta keep dreaming and seeing the positive in life, the hope that exists. Life seems brighter to me that way.

Awesome post! I see the glass half full. Seeing it the other way does me (or anyone else – for that matter) absolutely NO good. We will decide what we put in the “gap”! Feelings will ALWAYS betray us.

    It’s a choice….
