Michael Vick’s Second Chance

I’m a fan of second chances; in this video Michael Vick talks about discipline, work ethics, study habits and being a leader. “Leadership, you gotta take control and make the right decisions.”

Great story on Michael Vick and his second chance. Share your thoughts on Vick’s second chance and second chances in general.

Scott, I too am a fan of second chances. What Michael Vick did was unbelievably awful, but I truly believe he feels remorse, has asked for forgiveness, and is now seeking redemption. So many people in his situation would have just given up and never turned their life around. Vick can use this to help others in their times of trouble and doubt. It is so remarkable how far he has come, and how great of a leader he has become. Tony Dungy, one of my favorite Christian leaders on the planet, has mentored Vick and helped develop Vick’s leadership skills on and off the field. No one is perfect; some people will never bring themselves to forgive Vick for what he did. But I think that what he has done since, what he has overcome, and who he has become…is truly inspiring, noble, and honorable. God can use Michael to help others, inspire others, and LEAD others. What a great story of redemption! Thanks for sharing this video.

I think the Vick story shows that second chances can change lives. He’s better than before his trouble. Really appreciate how he’s taking advantage of the chance he’s been dealt.

Everyone who is a believer should love this story, we have ALL been given another chance.
Glad to see Vick working at it, no one is perfect, I’m not, we are defined by the decision we make and he is re-writing his life by making the right ones now.

This may be one of the best sports stories of 2010. I’m glad to see that he is having success on the field. I think it is a reflection of him having less troubles off the field.

I’ve heard it said countless times that everyone deserves a second chance. I disagree. We don’t even deserve a first chance. It is only because of God’s grace that we have an chances at all. Glad Vick is trying to make the most of this opportunity.

But, what is he doing to help other poor people, with nothing, and cannot even find a minimum wage job after serving minimum time.
