I’m riding down I-35 w/ a great group of guys on my way to Dallas to speak at the Dynamic Conference. I leave from Dallas in the morning headed to Baltimore to speak to pastors, denominational leaders tomorrow and Friday.

I decided to write a blogpost while riding and it is inspired by what’s in front of me at the moment. What’s in front of me is my Chuck Taylors and the road.

Chuck Taylor Leadership

Versatile: Chuck Taylor’s are the most versatile shoes around. You can dress them up or down, young or old… Chuck Taylor Leaders must be versatile, as versatility leads to productivity.

Variety: You can get Chuck Taylor’s in color or pattern imaginable, although each style and color is unique, they are all still Chuck Taylor’s. Leaders must be willing to embrace the variety and uniqueness of their team or followers. Just because they are different doesn’t mean they can’t be successful in your particular Chuck Taylor mold.

Likability: Everyone likes a good pair of Chuck Taylor’s and everyone likes a good leader.

I know this may be a stretch but I’m riding and this is all I got.

    The Chucks are hot, the point is great, adaptability goes with longevity or you could say survivability for a leader in an organization. IF a leader can’t adapt, grow/respond to the people they are leading or keep growing their thinking, they tend to stay stuck, like Chucks in one color.
    Expand, grow, be colorful, its better this way.

    The fact that Google is entering Apple’s territory again in the form of their music service allows ITvärlden just got even more exciting. I wonder just what happened one years foreward. .

    I have a pair of Chuck Taylor’s, not the bright orange ones, the off-orange/ light-brown ones; wearing them today aamof. One bummer about this pair is they’re flat – no arch, not the most comfortable after a full day on your feet – when I have one of those kind of days.

    I wish I could upload a pick of my chucks right now. I normally purchase the black on black highs & lows but I’m considering the pair you have on right now. I recently saw Rick Warren tweet about wearing chucks for the last 30 years or something. Love my CHUCKS!
