Twitter Is In The Bible

Every once and awhile you will run across a nugget of information that makes you go “hmm!” That’s what happened when I ran across these passages of scripture that confirm Twitter Is In The Bible:

  • “Insomniac, I twitter away, mournful as a sparrow in the gutter.” Psalm 102:7 MSG
  • “Like a swallow,like a crane, so I twitter; I moan like a dove; My eyes look wistfully to the heights; O Lord, I am oppressed, be my security.” Isaiah 38:14 NAS

    Well, the Message IS a paraphrase…but it’s still funny! There are several other things in the Message that are funny: the one that comes to my mind right now is from Matthew 4, when Jesus says, “Don’t you dare put the Lord your God to the test!”

    Both verses in the NIV make reference to birds, which birds tweet, so looks like a valid interpretation to me. :)
