In my business I get the opportunity to work with lots of organizations and individuals and the common theme for every one of them is to get better. That’s the goal for so many of us, we want to improve, grow and get better.
As we are in the midst of the NBA Championships, I found myself thinking about those that that improve, grow and get better. As it relates to success and getting better it simply boils down to this… Some people are players and some people are simply spectators.
Some people want to be a great leader, start a business, change their marriage, run for office, be a competitive athlete… they want to get better. Many never will get better, because they are simply a spectator. They watch, talk, criticize, Monday morning quarterback… They are simply a spectator. They watch, they cheer and they talk.
On the flip side there are those who get in the ring, on the court and on the filed of life and try to improve, grow and get better. These players go up the hills, through the roadblocks, endure the criticism, take the risks and keep moving down the road. They don’t simply talk about, they are about it. They get better, because they are players.
Are You A Player Or A Spectator?
