Life is full of fears, thoughts and haunting decisions. Often times the most haunting of all decisions are the regretful ones. Regret is like the constant thumping of a drum, over and over and over and over. You ask yourself why, you tell yourself that you should have and wonder what would have happened if you would have.
The only time you really live fully is from thirty to sixty. The young are slaves to dreams; the old servants of regrets. Only the middle-aged have all their five senses in the keeping of their wits.
I think Theodore Roosevelt was on to something, unfortunately I think in this day and age even those 30-60 year olds are servants to regret. Regret cripples your ability to dream, slows down your ability to move and threatens your ability to succeed.
Whatever regret you have, let it go! Don’t even try to let it be something that fuels you. Regret is to powerful of a constant drum beat to beome your motivation, it will end up being a huge distraction (thump, thump, thump.)
Drop the past, focus on the future! Don’t Be A Servant Of Regret
