My Life, My Family: (Run-on Sentence)

Wesley is playing tackle football and wants to also play flag, Jayden is playing flag, my wife and I fly out next Friday for our cruise (yes), the n-dub team is really special, today is my day off, I have some good books I’m reading, I have a book I need to write, we took dinner to a couple in our lifegroup last night that just had a baby, I’m ready for college football, this season of life is busy but really good…  God Is Good!

• Any pre-season college football choices, favorite college football team, smack talking…?

I know this is probably the most random blog post title that I have ever had.  I kinda get tired of the same old Monday titles such as: Monday Ramblings, Weekend Update, 5 Things From The Weekend, Random Thoughts…  This title is more indicative of what I will talk about; maybe not, but the Search Engines will like it.

LifeChurch.tv:

• I hear Craig brought ”it” at the  Leadership Summit.
• We had a great weekend at NOC; record LifeKids attendance, new Worship Pastor… a lot of buzz!

Life:

• My wife and I had a great time hanging at the Peoples Church this past Fri.; I spoke at their Married Couples Connection Event. 
• I am really excited about the stirring God is doing inside of me!

My Madness:

• My wife got us some bikes for my birthday; we rode about 10 miles last night.
• My wife also got me one of these; if you don’t have one you need to get one!
• My boys are at the in-laws until Wed. night; momma and daddy time!
• I am in a really good season; a lot of stirring and churning… really good stuff.

My Church Madness:

• We had right at about 2,500 people this weekend and you could not find a seat at the 11:30… fall get ready here we come!

• This Guy led worship at the “N-Dub” this weekend and rocked the place!

HOW WAS YOUR WEEKEND?  WHAT’S GOING ON IN YOUR WORLD?

God is stirring some stuff up inside of me; leadership stuff, life stuff, family stuff, ministry stuff, I need to do stuff, vision stuff, what Christ is doing through me stuff, not caring what people think stuff, campus stuff, having fun stuff, caring about people stuff, development stuff, future stuff, awareness stuff, pushing the envelope stuff, kid stuff, not playing it safe stuff… I could go on and on and it’s all Good Stuff! 

I’m stirred up with all this stuff; although it’s its all good stuff, it’s difficult to articulate!

Yesterday: What was I thinking and doing!

• Craig’s One Prayer message “Make Us One” was off the chart.
• We had over 100 people sign up for the One Prayer Micromission at the Oak Grove Public Housing Community.
• I grilled some steaks and hamburgers yesterday; grilled food makes the best leftovers.
• Great Family Time 

Today: What I’m thinking and doing!

• I am in interviews all day; it’s one of those days where I don’t have a minute to spare.
• It’s raining right now and stormed all last night.
• I am going to the gym tonight.
• I think the Lakers and Celtics will be a 7 game series; home court advantage will be huge.

Tomorrow: What will I be thinking and doing!

• Who knows what I will be thinking…  I know what I will be doing.

• My sons are out of school and are both at basketball camp this week.
• LaKendria and I had a great time teaching Prep For Marriage this past weekend; it’s great to connect with couples as they are ready to join their lives together.

Church Ramblings:

• I has able to be a part of a huge Baptism Bash yesterday at LifeStock.  (Hundreds were baptized)

Those People:

• This guy, this guy and this guy are some of my favorite bloggers that don’t allow comments.
• This guy and this guy consistently push the envelope and promote church diversity.
• This guy received a $350,000 book deal due to his blog, which receives nearly 1,000 comments daily.
• This guy basically came up with my blogs subtitle in this post.
• This lady is a master blogger, this lady’s blog cracks me up, this lady’s blog is unique, this lady is an amazing mom and has a great family, and I just started reading this lady’s blog. 

That Stuff:

• I am still waiting on this phone; it should be here by Thurs.
• This stuff is the best dog food on the market (seriously); find a store and treat your pet.
• In June I will be in this city, July in this city, and making stops in this place, this place, and this place on our cruise in August.
• These things save you money.
• Flying pigs, man these things are dangerous.

Personal Ramblings:

• We had a track meet in Norman yesterday; My 5yr. old Jayden got 1st.  place in the 25-meter dash for (5-6 yr. olds) and third place in the 50-meter dash.  Wesley my 9 yr. old got 1st place in the 50-meter  dash and 3rd. place in the 100-meter dash (9-10 yr. olds).
• My wife and I are trying to eat healthier and get back in the gym… (I’m like 11 lbs.)  My wife goes to the boot camp at the YMCA on Mon., Wed. and Fri.
• I am ready for the summer!

Church Ramblings:

• We are in the 2nd. week of Fanatic this week and the Campus Pastors will be preaching!
• One Prayer is going to be off the chart.
• We are having a lot of new first-time visitors each weekend.

Blog Ramblings: 

• I offered to by people a drink on Friday in a post entitled “Can I Buy You a Drink?” and the post almost had more comments than the highest ever commented post “The First Black President.”  If you didn’t get a chance to get your drink order in go-ahead; I’m not selecting winners until this Friday.

• Our satellite got moved 1/2 of a degree from last weeks storm and we didn’t have a signal, so I had to preach on Saturday night from Craig’s notes.
• My team is amazing; it’s great to see how they all pitch-in during adverse situations
• My team went to LifeChurch.tv Central to meet all of the central teams (mission= put a name w/ a face)

Personal Ramblings

• I was off this weekend; it sure takes a long time for me to turn everything off, I’m wired to always be doing something.  I didn’t look at my blog all weekend and only had a few necessary conversations with team members.
• I took my wife to see comedian Rickey Smiley  live at the Civic Center on Saturday.  The show was really funny and for the most part really clean.  I saw several couples from my campus there.
• My Son has to take standardized tests this week; plenty of rest, eat breakfast, #2 pencil… you know the drill.
• Last night Wesley and I were reading Mathew and he had some questions about the whole Piece of Wood and Sawdust in your eye.  Jayden and I read the story of King Ahab and Elijah.
• We were at the grocery store yesterday, on the cake isle and Wesley says Mom, Dad look… as he points at the Devils Food Cake.
• My wife and I are taking a cruise in August for our anniversary… any recommendations?

Church Ramblings 

• If you don’t know about “One Prayer” then you should go and check out the site.  This will change “The Church” as we stand together like never before.  Tell your Pastor and tell your friends to tell their Pastors to get involved.
• Our Campus is doing well; however we have got a lot of work to do in year two.
